Invitation To Pilgrimage 2023

The idea of pilgrimage (walking with a spiritual intent) is a centuries old, widely treasured practice that has been meaningful to so many Christ-followers seeking to deepen their relationship with God. The Holy Scriptures use the physical metaphor of a “journey” over and over in the lives of God’s people to transform their hearts, enlighten their minds with truth, and to re-engage purpose.  A spiritual exercise such as this can nourish a thirsty soul and revive a weary traveler.  

Setting aside this intentional time to be with the Lord in the company of a selective community can be a moment of lived communion, a variation on the “collective church”.

The Invitation to Pilgrimage is a co-ed, two day, invite only retreat.  My heart is not to exclude, but to provide a place where leaders can gather with like-minded and like-spirited individuals to connect, find solitude, and be cared for spiritually.  However, feel free to invite a friend or spouse that would feel comfortable in this environment.

This is retreat is an embodied contemplative experience.  The Invitation to Pilgrimage begins on the first night with some “teaching”, this is only meant to set the stage for the experience of pilgrimage and to allow you to ponder your intention and give God the space to prompt you toward your own need for Him.   

And yes, there will be walking with a stop or two along the way.  It is only about a mile and a half on San Pedro’s beautiful retreat property.  

My hope is that this time will get you out of the ordinary for just a moment as you allow God to walk with you.
