In the Stillness

What is "In the Stillness"? 

This evening is meant to be a no frills moment of peace to still your mind, heart, and body after a busy week.  It is a time of seeking peace concentrated on the scriptures and done in a corporate environment.  In this time, there will be an instrumental worship piece of music playing and a scripture will be presented every five minutes for meditation visually.  There is no other message or activity, just the corporate experience of being together taking in God's Word in a quiet contemplative environment.   It is meant to settle your being on the life and healing that the scriptures bring to your soul.  My hope is that it will feel like a way to cleanse the tension of the week and prepare you for a weekend of rest.  This kind of prayer has personally changed my life and walk with Jesus.  It is a precious time to pause and connect with the God who longs to spend time with you…centered on His Word.  

Why do this corporately?

I believe the scripture in Matthew 18 when Jesus says, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." There is a special connection to the Spirit of God when we do this together in community seeking His face.
